The car my daughter has now is slowing going down for the count. Am looking for a solid car, nothing fancy. Doesn't have to be a Mopar. Budget is about $4k. Anyone in the Denver, Colo. area know of something PLEASE send my a PM.
Thanks,
Mike

92-99 Dakota.

RWD
dependable
familiar
easy to work on and find parts for

4k skould get a decent car. Does up here.
Guess you need to have some requirements or preferences
If i was to choose a car for my daughter to drive, i would lean towards a corolla, easy to drive. Great visibility.

subarus are completely overrated. They leak oil and burn oil, and the automatics are weak, and for the sticks: the clutches are a nightmare to change.
I'd agree with the Honda suggestion, except that they are kinda overpriced
At least in the PNW, both those cars are stolen with great frequency.

Just put my 92 geo prizm up for sale today. It’s in North Carolina, kind of a long haul lol

Honda Accord
Agree with Daddio. Honda Civic or Accord. Good on gas, very reliable, safe, and the parts are reasonable when it does need them. It's kind of like this generations Dodge Dart with a stock slant 6, no frills but dependable as hell. Just try to find one that some young kid has not been beating on.
