Or is it just me? Today was the worst day in weeks for cold and snow. And what do I decide to tackle? I make an offer on a truck I found a while back.........and the guy accepts! It is a 1976 Dodge Custom 300, 1 ton dually, 400 / 4 spd, 4X4. Sure it needs work, but don't they all?! The box sides come off to be a flat deck and it has rails. It is also hydraulic lift / dump. :)

Perfect weather to pick up a mighty beast like that!! Nice find George, looks like it's going to be a handy truck to have!!

It just isnt right. A chevy Pulling a Dodge.
Guess it could be worse. Could have been a ford.

Looks like a decent truck.

Ya, we are a little addicted. Ya, even though it was a miserable, cold, snowy, windy day, it was great! It was a good day to capture The Beast. I think that will be it's name!

I guess I could share the name. That`s what I called my 68 F350 dually, bought back in 89.
Every man needs a 1 ton dually right?

I have one too! 1952 chevy...

Lol, better start a new forum
FOTO. for one tons only.

Nice find. Just looking at the roads........ if that was Wisconsin, their would be 6 inches of salt on the roads. Love those western vehicles, they might be a little beat up, or ruff, but most of the time they are not all rotted out. Those ole Dodge trucks are almost in the Tank status.

It has a "few" cow dents! But it is actually fairly solid. Believe it or not the floors are solid and the cab corners are perfect. It likely never saw much of the road as it was a farm truck, so that could explain the lack of rust. It should be fairly easy to make into a decent truck. It was last registered in '95 as far as I can tell so far. That's a bonus for me as I can get it titled on Monday.

Good find gdrill! And for the record, those crappy roads and rotten weather headed east, over to me.

well, now you know how Benaiah the son of Jehoiada felt
(look him up, hes in the Bible)

Sweet truck. As soon as it warms up you can wet down the pass door and take a suction cup to that dent.

I like it George!
Good thing it was only minus 21c, i would hate to do that if it was cold out...........

A super find gdrill, and you can bet the engine was over serviced by a farm hand staying busy putting his time in :D
Very handy Beast to have

Thanks everyone. Ya I guess it could have really been cold out! It wasn't bad. Capture raises the body temp somewhat! Speaking with the seller he said that the owner told him it was parked due to a fuel leak. I hope it's that simple!

When it's cold and snowy, I get my Mopar on bombing around in this! I traded a microwave oven for it about 4 years ago, and have been trying to kill it ever since! Damn thing just won't die, it'll fall apart from being so rusty, but it will not die!!

(Had to disagree with the last post because I got to use a ford for plowing)

Fine.

Its a beast. Plow is factory IHC,from a 1969 travelall. Heavy thing. Gmc carries it nicely. Thats from 3-4 years ago. Snowed every other day.by the end of winter the picnic table was buried. Its by the hydro pole.

It's cause youse jellous, ain't it?? Tell you what, I would consider a trade....maybe a toaster oven, or one of them new air fryers!! Might consider an electric fry pan, but it's gotta have a lid!! ;-)
