I am building the stroker Sb now for my 67 barracuda (originally 273 hi-po Formula S) and I am going to paint under the hood. Somebody in the 80s had painted the car orange and painted that under the hood, but painted the firewall Chevy black.

Car is originally the 1967 only dark copper metallic (its brown) with the lighter copper interior. I don’t necessarily love the color, but I have never seen another car with that color combination. Has anyone else? Do you have pics? How rare is that combo?

Pretty rare! I have a chopped up 100% modded dart and still miss the time capsule effect of sitting in a factory correct car

Never seen a Barracuda in that color but there's a member here who has a 67 Dart hardtop in that color and it looks pretty nice.

does it have the copper interior? They are both weird colors but they strangely compliment each very well. A dark copper paint would be fine with a black interior but the copper interior is an odd color. I can’t imagine it was ordered very often.

I'm 99% sure it did have the copper interior as well as I was contemplating an exterior color change on my car (which has the copper interior) and I thought the combo worked well together.

I've seen several other 67 convertibles with the medium copper exterior and copper interior so it seems like it was a somewhat popular combo back in the day. Can't say I've seen a lot of hardtops like that, though.

I wouldn't change a thing. I wish my Dart was a cool '60s brown/copper metallic like that! The interior makes it even more desirable IMHO.
