Long Time Listner..First Time Caller withWinshield Gasket Dilemma
I have finally joined..Figure I'd join rather join A Bodies only rather than let Google do the work and have all the fun. I have a 75 Plymouth Duster that I bought over 20 yrs ago in WI. After 3 Kids, numerous moves, and a very understanding wife, I am finally getting around to finishing it up. I'll have to get some pictures up here. Car originally was a Slant 6. Kept the original K member and a 318 kit from Schumacher. Numerous other things have been done with the help of friends and family. Car is no beauty queen, for sure, but I do enjoy the diversion....The latest diversion is locating a proper windshield gasket for this 75 Duster. Spoke to a rep at Year One. They do have the glass for a '75; but do not carry a gasket. Dante's lists on thier website a gasket for 1970-1976 Plymouth Duster, Demon, Dart Sport SKU: WCRD759. Also listed is a Locking Strip WLS900. Carparts.com lists a WCR-D690 (no Locking Strip) and Steele Rubber Products lists a 70-2183-50 w/Locking Strip. Not sure if the Locking Strip is Synonymous with Locking Lip as depicted in the manual (please see photo). Trying to get this ironed out as I will also be replacing the Vinyl Canopy Top. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated
