I was building my 70 Dart with a 383 and we had trouble fitting the Mopar Performance valve covers with the heater box in there, so we ended up painting some smaller 60's style valve covers and using those...

My Dad is putting a 440 in his 70 Dart and is wondering what valve covers you all use for a 440 build in a Dart considering this fitment issue we had before, and that he is using rollers and needs a bit more height than mine...

Anyone know???

Heater box? Usually the issue is with the heater fan motor. @halifaxhops solved the issue on his Dart by modifying the fan motor.

This.^^^^^ In my 67 440 dart, blower motor hit the cover. I just cut the cover and welded in a inverted piece. BUT not with non OEM rockers, would hit.

Yep, the first link is what Hoppy did with his.
If u run raised port heads, you'll have to remove it entirely, I even had to offset the master cyl., and mill the lower rib of my drivers side mopar cover to get it off.

I have the older cast eddy covers had to do the motor mod and a 8" booster, the drivers side does come off with a bit of finess.

FYI the heater motor I used comes in two rotations order what you have rotation wise, been a while to remember which one think I put a link up for it in the how to.

Nice site! I have the Schumacher mounts for a s/6-RB that might have shifted the motor more forward?
