Small block 727

The 904 is plenty adequate for your engine. I run one behind a 408 making over 500 ft lbs of torque and about the same HP and a 4k stall. Took very little to make it tough enough to stand up to my 408. I've been building torqueflites since 81 when we were dumb asses and threw away 904's cause we thought they were junk and swapped in 727's then had to do more work to make the car as fast as it was with the 904. Now I wish I had every one of those 904's back. Same goes for the 741 pumpkin. Their a lot stronger than given credit for
