Local pickup only in Fresno, CA, plan to tow vehicle.

2/15 - I gave tje car a good wash today and took some new closeups of the body to better display the absence of dents, along with every significant paint flaw and rust spot. I may have missed a couple more tiny ones, but I figured a warts would actually show the car to better effect.

The first group of photos were taken in 2012, but apart from a little dirt on the outside and spider webs under the hood, the car looks the same. California car, mostly kept in dry Central Valley, never exposed to winter road salt. Clean Non-Op California title. Nice blue interior with some yellow shade of paint, simple pinstripe detail. Paint looks original (same color in engine compartment), but I am no expert. Small flake (about 5"x1") of chrome missing from front bumper, otherwise chrome appears good. All glass present, undamaged, could use new rubber edging. Tires hold air, but after sitting for seven years I wouldn't drive on them. Has AC system, probably factory. Trunk lock sticks, horizontal aluminum trunk trim strip is a little dented. I believe the engine compartment hood latch was modified to open from inside. There was also a modification to the underside of the spare wheel well to attach a tow hitch -- this was damaged and repaired later and the tow attachment, while visible from above, is now non-functional.

5-digit odometer shows 01979, so I'm assuming 102K mileage. Big attraction is the very clean body. Was running when parked here in 2011, needed a tuneup and steering overhaul at that time. Purchased with the intention of restoring and using as a backup to my daily driver, but I immediately ran out of funds. Added fuel preservative and turned engine over periodically for one year until battery gave out, then removed battery and siphoned gas tank. Has sat every since. I kept hoping I'll find the $$$ to get restoration started properly, but am finally facing reality. Mostly I'm getting local offers at scrap prices, and I do not want to see a nice older car with a clean body and chassis like this get parted out and crushed.

I would like $1500, but will consider reasonable offers.

Folks - Dave is an old friend of mine (since the early 90s) - don't let the 'first post, joined yesterday' for sale worry you (I told him to list it here) - he's a very solid guy, and won't steer you wrong - ask your questions, you'll get honest answers.
