I have been building car stereo systems since the 90's and there is a lot of nonsense on this side as well. With that being said, I use a hydraulic crimper and make my own cables. Kinda reminds me of how some people run Pro Stock sized fuel pumps on the street because they think they need it.

Personally I have a 2000$ stereo set up in my van. But to spend close to another 2k I cant do.
Now reading some things tho ppl say it's worth it. Just not to me lol. But if you are into the big comps and you can make money off this then sure.

I remember years ago blind testing six home cables with a group. We listened to a couple of different pieces of music from a then new format called Compact Disc through each of the cables (it was a while ago!). They ranged from twisted wires from Radio Shack to some “liquid filled” $2000 cables. The liquid filled cables did come in first amongst the group. The Radio Shack I think came in third or fourth. Some of the other cables cost a few hundred bucks. The results of the test amazed me more than the liquid filled cables.
