W2 intake manifolds pics

-

Glad you posted the underside pic. Look at how abrupt the flow path is on #4 and #7.

I used this intake for development of my 2010 EMC W2/367. Incredibly capable manifold. First pull made 511 HP @ 6700 rpm and about 475 tq. Thought for sure a modified Weiand Stealth (I love that manifold) with its larger and gently sweeping runners and plenum height would have kicked the M1 dual's ***. It did not. It lost power everywhere except the last 300 rpm--made 514 HP @ 6700 rpm and 460 tq. Modified a RPM-Air-gap as a last ditch effort and with a very roughed in W2 port shape it killed everything with 531HP and 499 ft/lbs.

M1 is a great W2 street intake, I would not hesitate to use one. It does not hamper high RPM/ power production one IOTA. How it does this I have NO idea. If a person is up for a ton of work then grab an RPM and get busy--that manifold just seems to be the best of ALL worlds-almost all of the time. J.Rob

What about a Victor W-2 or an Indy? I have both but large rec ports, but W-2 port spacing

You mean bolt spacing and that is a thorn in my side. There was absolutely no reason to move those bolt hole locations. The runners do not encroach whatsoever. Imagine being able to bolt a Weiand 7576 X-celerator to your W2 heads-wow. Talk about ultimate smallblock. Then again , that train left the station as soon as the G3 hit the scene. Onwards and upwards. J.Rob

Thanks RAMM. I wrote earlier that it wasn’t so sure this should be used with ported heads but I did t know for sure.

Glad you did what you did. I would NOT believed it could make that kind of power being a copy of the OE intake.

Some sexy W2 blower manifolds!! Lol

As you can see the painted Mopar W2 is almost a dead copy of the Holley Street Dominator with under carb water heat passages. This game s MoPar’s “Street W2” as it has the water heat under the carb. The “Race W2’s” do not have this.
(And are crazy *** expensive!)

The MoPar M1 water heated is closer kin to the STRIP Dominator Holley manifold. In a daily driver, year round application, the STREET Dominator works fine and has more hood clearance. For racing, go Strip Dominator, Victor or M1.

The Holley Street Dominator and that water heated M1 are the same exact height. I have had them side by side with a level at center bubble.

Hmm. Not mine, but it's hard to see in the pictures if the M1 is an "air gap" design like the Holley STRIP Dominator, which I assure you is taller than the STREET Dominator. I have a water heated M1 which looks Strip Dominator-ish, but I haven't measured. Thanks!

Man would I love one of those!

I bought the manifold some years back from a friend. I sold it to another friend in PA a couple years ago. I probably should have gotten a lot more money for it than I did, but that happens.
As you can see there is a P part number on it, so you would assume that it was available through Direct Connection at one time, but I never have seen one in any of the old DC catalogs.

rumblefish , this is what i've got in w2 intakes . mopar water heater version . it has been modified for port nozzles , but nothing else . i've never run it , again i don't have any w2 heads . is or was there any alum w2 heads ?

Batten and Diamond made aluminum W2 heads. After them, IDK.

I was led to believe that indy bought the batten dies to make aluminum w2s...
Basically they are the updated batten head. If you can handle the indy name. So i did this

*giggles and runs away*

How about some porting tips?
Especially on the Victor plenum area....

Lets go guys! Give up the goods... Lol

Heres my RECTANGLUR w-2 intake. Holley strip dominator. Its been modifed to a 4500 flange and intake ports for my diamond w-2 heads.
