Greetings everyone, looking to spend some time reading and learning as much as I can. I'm the old story of "looking for my old car", I sold my 64' Dart Gt out of the Sacramento, CA area in 2001 and have begun the quest of refilling the void. I've got quite the uphill battle ahead of me but I figure if I ever do find her I'll have had plenty of time to here to prepare. Cheers!

Welcome, I hope you find it. I had to settle for a same year ,same color, because I know what happened to my origional.

Thank you very much all. I've been digging for any historical documentation, having my folks do the same over the years. Not looking good but who knows, 5 moves in 2 different states over 10 years will do that I guess
 
If you have the vin number you could probably have them run or some old paper work ,or if you find a previous owner after you they might have a reg receipt but I think you will find if any info holler I'll help you if I can I got a friend who is a cop he can probably run a number or 2 for u

Thank you! I thought for sure I had an old registration or insurance receipt somewhere, it'll turn up or I'll hopefully find it for sale somewhere.
 
Nothing yet, this is going to be a very long process. I was in the military for 9 years and moved a few times, my parents moved as well, each of us shedding documents each time. I've got them going through stuff, looking for any trail. When I sold the car I didn't have any digital backup, so the buyer got all I had. I'm going to have to just find similar cars as they come along and VIN check them. I'm patient, this could take a few years.
