I am from a semi Rural area and most of my life I have seen tractors around but never gave much thought to them. But now I am seeing them in a different light.

Who likes old tractors

The Farmall 460 is what kinda started it for me

As in coffee shop thead,i have a 1952 cockshutt 40 with bucket and forks.
Used it for loading firewood and clearing snow.
Its a good ol machine.
I also have an 80’s kubota grey market tractor,a tiny little thing with pto and three point hitch.
Mower/box scraper/power rake/snowblower/trailer hitch/forks.
I put all my parts /junk on pallets and i move it with the little tractor. Made a set of pallet forks for the back.
Also it goes so slow, with a push bar i can push/pull cars in and out of shop by myself. Just walk beside and steer both units. I dont need help to move cars.

Its amazing what a 15 hp diesel will do,while burning almost no fuel. L1501.

I have an old hand crank 1941 John Deere B. We use it to rake hay or pull a wagon. It doesn’t have hydraulics or lift arms, so it’s just used on light jobs. It’s more of an old nostalgia tractor than a workhorse.

Now I have to go out to take pictures. I have/had an obsession with the Oliver HG and OC3. I sold the last one of those last year. I have a couple tractors sitting around still

I have a 1955 Oliver super 77 row crop.
My late grandfather bought it brand new.

We also still have the first tractor my dad bought brand new Massey Ferguson 275.

We live on a farm that has been here for 150 years.

Since I own a 49 Ford 8N, yeah I guess I am into tractors.

Well Rani I'm sure you already know about my little Farmall 100. This is essentially a re-badged "Super A" Just used it Sat to plow snow

This was a Sears SS16 I had for awhile. paid around ? 300 with the blower, it needed 100 bucks worth of parts I just sold 3 garden tractors last year this one included, before I got the part time job

SS16trlr.jpg

At the time this was referred to as "the fleet". The Green sears blower was a complete POS. "On paper" it is the same as my present Ariens, same HP same chute size, and the Ariens will run circles around it......literally

The failed rear mount blower project.............would have worked if I'd had about 20hp instead of 10. Those single stange blowers use up a LOT of power

Not mine but have one just like this. 1947 Haney. Has a three speed Crosley transmission and a Wisconsin engine. Pretty fun little rig. I think they only made them about one year.

Tractor shows around these parts, the NE Hemi Owners club did a group meet with them a couple years ago, Mopars & old tractors. It was a cool event!

Joe you really should consider an A / Super A or 100 like mine. They are not much bigger but have a 4 speed and much "more" of a tractor with very little size increase.

I’ve heard a lot of ole timers say the same thing. They all say the cub just isn’t enough. I guess they’re probably great if you want something cool to cut grass with or manage a small garden. They are everywhere around here. Decent prices too. Easy to find one for around $1500 on CL.

i don't want to put a cub to work. want one as a toy.. growing up the restaurant next to us had a cub and we had a ton of fun with that thing.. its more a memory thing. the A looks a lot like a cuband i've considered one and i know is more powerful but its still not a cub..lol

pic is from the early 70's... my dad is driving, i'm the little kid on his lap(im 48 now) and thats my cousin on the back...

My Mom's Dad had a cub. By the time I was around 10 I used to think it was "just my size" LOL. No hydraulics. Had a sickle mower, mechanical lift snowplow, a single bottom rear mount plow and I forget if a disc or not. Had a HUGE lever to work the mechanicals

Check this out........just happened to find it on the net

I learned how to use a clutch when I was about 10 on my granma’s Farmall Super C.
I can spot one from about 200 yards.

LOL. By the time I was 11 or 12 I was on that big ol Farmall Regular a bit of the time. Our fields were rough, and it would "get away" from you. I used to scooch up in the seat and clamp my knees around the wheel to hang on

1961 John Deere 1010 gas. 33 horse, 5 speed and later 5' foot cutter cuts 3' tall thick grass like warm butter. in 35 years never touched anything but change spark plugs, plug wires, oil and filter, clean air filter, sharpen blades and grease 14 points, turbo muffler

I grew up on a farm, w/ at one time, 297 head of black angus. We had a couple of B farmalls, a super C , a super M on propane, and my favorite-a 1941 massey harris w/ a 6 cyl Chrysler engine in it. It was scarey fast, w/ no governor. As a young soon to be hotrodder, I loved it ! I always notice tractors that are for sale , but don`t have need for one now, "but that`s another story."
