I remember seeing a thread or post somewhere with the need to remove the plenum between to two bores when using an EFI system. Looking for input from EFI users with airgap intakes. Did you need to notch the plenum? If so how much?

Im running an airgap and will be installing the sniper this spring.

i dont remember a thread, but i did see it as a solution to an issue on the show engine masters. they had to notch the plenum to get the EFI to run right. I do have EFI but running a single plane. i think it may have been this episode

Yes! Thats what it was! Still curious if theres any dual plane guys out there who ran in to this issue.

I have an air gap on my 340 with the MSD Atomic FI on it. Its not in a car yet but running on the engine stand sounds really strong. I saw that engine masters episode but if I dont recall it being a Edelbrock rpm air gap....was it? Might have to revisit that episode and see what intake it was. I do remember them getting more power after milling the plenum divider. I dont see how it would be an EFI specific issue but who knows.

What is the episode where they actually milled the divider down?

I found the episode and they claimed the air gap intake had the divider milled straight from edelbrock. I have an old one and a brand new one and neither are milled. Note that the tests were done on a chevy engine. This is also a carb test, not efi.
Start at 5:00

Here is another where they discussed the divider. Milling divider at 6:30

I just installed my air gap and I'm going to run the Holley sniper kit, I did see a solution to the duel planes in some forums where you just add a 2-3 inch spacer between the two to solve the map sensor reading issue.

I haven't experienced first hand but will here soon

I've run the Sniper on my airgap without any modifications to the plenum for a year and haven't had any problems with it. I asked about using spacer on it before I installed it and they did not recommend it, although I have seen that some people say they do recommend it..

I run a Eddie Air Gap on my 408 with the FiTech 600 PA. I didn't mill the divider, though I was going to. No problems at all with mine.
