Need Help: Car Starts cold and then konks out and restart takes forever.....

I'm inclined to think it got flooded:

What is the outside temperature when this happens, averaged over the previous 3 or 4 hours?
How long after start-up does it stall?
What carb is on it?
does it have a functioning choke ?
with a functioning choke pull-off?
Have you tried to adjust it?
Is the vacuum advance hooked up?
Does it stay running if you pump the pedal? ....or does this make it worse?

* Outside temperature is between 70-75 deg
* Stalls maybe a min or two after Water temperature reaches max. (Car isn't rolling.. still have other work to perform w/Gearbox so focusing on engine for now)
* Carb is Edelbrock 1404 Performer - Manual Choke.
* Choke not Functioning / Installed at the moment.
* Vacuum Advance is hooked up.
* Car starts and revs smooth until it konks.

Or could it be that a fuel line is getting hot and vapor locking .. It has happened to me on a few mopars that the fuel line was getting hot :steering:

* Will look into this...
