Couple questions about eq heads?

Just picked up a 5.9 magnum from a local shop. Guy had a totaled out 99 pickup behind his shop for about a year. I finally pulled in and asked about it. Thank god I did. Gave me the engine for 300 bucks. 160 thousand miles on it. I will probably start a build thread some time this year so hold tight for pics.

My question is this. Where do you guys get your eq heads? I've heard a lot of rumours and read a few threads where guys buy them from wherever, and then have to take them to a good machine shop to have them looked over? Is there no dealer that is truly out of the box?

On that note I've sort of been looking at jegs, eq eBay store, and Hughes for my dealer. I'm sort of leaning towards Hughes since they just seem to have a quality product and will install springs and the like for you. Granted they have the highest price tag but if their products are truly out of the box bolt on, please take my money.

If you want true out of the box ready to run you can't go wrong with IMM or Hughes either one.
Odessa Cylinder Head in Texas is a decent source for the basic heads and good prices, but they don't do custom stuff like springs and such as far as I know, and the ones that come on preassembled heads are barely capable.

I did my own springs and hardware as well as a basic inspection stem clearances and valve sealing, new positive stem seals with Hughes Springs and retainers/locks set.
Actually I was fairly impressed with the EQ's right out of the box except for the limitations on lift.
The spring seats and stem guides can be cut easy enough to solve that though.
230 CFM right out of the box ain't bad for the price I think.

I see they are doing the bigger 2.02 intake valves with better springs though.
120 seat pressure and up to .600 lift on the springs and stainless valves.
