Thanks R4. I'm trying... The other day I purchased a huge tarp that was big enough to cover the ceiling and two walls. My hope was that it would darken the room enough to make it look like the night sky when I turned off the ceiling lights and turned on a star projector. (my walls are beige and my ceiling is white) Unfortunately that tarp I bought was shiny and reflected too much light. The blue color wasn't dark enough either.
Anyway, I bought a couple gallons of dark blue flat latex. Tonight I'm painting the tarp. Early testing looks great so far. If I can make a realistic sky effect it should look good with the track lighting below. I'm waiting for another motor to drive the plane so that it will circle the track while we're racing. The 'raffle car' is on a motor driven turntable that rotates slowly.
I'm trying to achieve enough motion around the layout to make it look 'alive'.
