Touchdown and trophies at the high school drags. that was then this is now ! I'm finishing mine for the 3rd time and want to see if I can run mid 11's once again in street trim. it's been a long time. I hope you guys set a date I'd like to be there, just meet you guys. we come from the same era.

If they set a date with enough advanced notice you should bring your car.

it's a start, at least it runs. and there is a dart sport in the pic.
I'll be damned if I'm going to race him in in a car with that engine! He's pouring oil in as fast as it's running out! I mean how do you drag race like that?
I broke my motor in a little different LOL I sealed it all up before I started it LOL

And that folks is exactly why I didn't videotape my motor breaking in! It would jinx me for sure!

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that was the first start. I think the cam was already broken in. I was running a remote filter because the headers are so damn tight it kills my hands to change the filter on the block. I had a leak on the line for oil return to the block and couldn't get it stopped so I said piss on it and used a 90* adapter.

I put a remote oil filter on mine when I broke it in and for the first season. Just so I didn't get oil all over the headers when I changed it and convenience and I thought it would cool it better. I was felt it was suspect for seepage and also I was always afraid it was going to break so I just screw a regular 090 Mopar from Walmart. I mean that's what I used with the remote. In the end it just seemed or potential for disaster. Enter your video...

Noticed that you had the old carb on that start up too.

I think you're right it had been started before that one.
