Jeff's 727 rebuild thread

I always used a torque wrench. The super el-cheapo socket sets had 5/16” double square sockets in them. I did finally buy a proper square but i havent seen it in years. Havent needed it.

I had the snap ring let go too. Truck would go from 1st to locked. I replaced snap ring and piston.to get the piston out without tearing tailstock off i pushed pin out of lever,then made a mini clamp to replace pin in lever. Was a test of my patience. Especially the red rain part.
