No way you're mixing metaphors here and then blaming it on me! I can see you get your thinking process from politics with that Hillary comment!
You kept jumping in a very important to me thread I had with your video comments which made me laugh of course but I know you could be a lot of help and I needed that from you at that time not so much your attention and not so much that I don't like it because you know that I love you! Okay with all that said this is a way old thread and this guy better have his rockers figured out by now..

Ok well I'll just keep my keyboard pointed a different direction.

I had done a search on here looking for 273 adj rocker mods/info and it led me here. Sometimes I would rather read an old thread rather than start an entire new one.
Informative thread, adj rockers can be used in any combination(hyd vs solid in both pushrods and lifters), didnt know that.
Can I spot face the rocker top with a belt sander? Suggestions?
Hope the OP is getting things ironed out??

If you're talking about the valve stem pad on the rocker, yes, you can do it, but be careful. You need to keep the arc of the pad.

What I was talking was the adjusting screws and locknuts...Crane I think thru summit/mancini. Can I "flatten" the locknut mating surface with a sander?
Good to know on valve tip mating area as I was contemplating that as well.

Hell yeah. Get all the high spots out and let that be it.

After Triple R told me about this and when I did mine I actually just set them gently in the vice with a cloth and took a nice new flat file and gently filed them till I basically just ran the casting off and do a nice flat clean surface slow and clean like.

I wish. Money being the biggest obstacle. Still haven't got the rocker arms mounted and adjusted yet.

I have the rockers honed and cleaned up. Needed to grind some material out to provide clearance for the valve spring. That is done, (finally) ordered pushrods last week from Smith brothers, nice work. They ended up being 7.0625 working length.

Ordered banana groove shafts from Hughes. Then I noticed today that there isn't a set of holes for the cup and ball oiling hole. Called Hughes and he said the shafts they make are not designed for the 273 adj rocker. They are designed for the Rocker arms he sells. He's taking them back for refund. I have to say that is good customer service, can't complain.

I have a new set of hyd stock rocker shafts that I will drill to provide oil to the cup and ball. The oil hole on the hyd shaft has a significantly larger oiling hole, approx .177, the Hughes is .125.

Any suggestions on hole size for the cup and ball oil hole?

Also, location for that oiling hole?

Should I put a small groove in the main hole?

I do appreciate the input from the membership here, a lot!

That's tomorrow's project.[/QUOTE]

The pushrods are worth every penny.

Everything worked perfectly, a testament to the forum.

Thank you.

Sorry can't help with the shaft holes. Car is in storage. Nice to see progress and the review on Smith Bros pushrods
