I had a 68 340 in a 65 w/3.55 gears. I would regularly beat a stock looking 340 Duster that lived on my way to school and also beat my friends big block chevy. Was it the 396 that had that weird intake that the carb sat screwy at about a 45? I still talk to that guy to this day.
