slant six air cleaner position

I went in the FPC to look, and 'scuze me, I misremembered before: it wasn't A/C cars, it was '73 A-bodies with power disc brakes that got the air cleaner that pointed toward the right-rear corner of the engine bay, and also '73 B-bodies with Slant-6 engine, power disc brakes, and manual transmission.

All other '73 A- and B-body Slant-6 installs got the air cleaner with the snorkel pointing more or less at the battery in the left front corner of the engine bay.

This is not the only year there were differences like this; in '72 the \6 A-bodies with power brakes got a different air cleaner housing than all others, though it's not the same as either of the '73 units. The '71 cars are claimed all to use the same housing as '72 with power brakes and '73 except with power discs—there's a note in the '70-'71 FPC to change the air cleaner body to [the one with the snorkel pointing to the right rear corner of the engine bay] with field-installed power brake booster.

This game came to an end for '74: one air cleaner body for all applications. Same year the snorkel was changed from rectangular to oval.
