Well it seems it's my quarterly check-in here on FABO lol.
Things have been starting to look better since getting fired from the shop. It's been sort of a blessing in disguise.
Was unemployed from Oct 11 to Jan 2nd. The HR manager at the shop lied to the unemployment office about why they terminated and I caught her on a recording doing so. I let the unemployment case investigator know and they put my funds on "hold" and that's where they stayed. I didn't even try to get them after that. So, I went 2 house payments in the hole and sucked up our savings. Finally caught up on the house payments yesterday.
The one manager at the shop that I shared duties with and reported for selling prescription pain killers and stealing is no longer there now either, haha! I emailed the owner of the shop several days after I was fired about it again. They caught him on camera doing some shady stuff back in January and were going to fire him when they found a replacement for him. He ended up putting his 2 week notice in, then packed up his family and moved to Utah!! I guarantee he was scared ****less because they would've found thousands of dollars of stolen material, consumables, and product from the shop in his garage. Yet, I was the one the shop manager told to shut my mouth or leave. lol I'm just like, haha, told you so, told you so!!

Anyway. I've been employed with the Colorado Dept of Corrections for 2 months now and love it so far.
Also, finally paid our Jeep off yesterday and only have $3180 left on the Magnum. Then we will own all 3 of our vehicles! And, I may try to find another project, lol.

The Magnum is in the shop as of Monday due to hitting a friggin deer on the way home from work a couple weeks ago, grrrr.

Been hanging new shop lights in the garage as well. I'm going to have 12 total so it'll be super bright! lol

Hope everyone has been doing well!

Here's a pic of the shop lights I'm hanging. I'm wiring in recepticles and wiring plugs into the lights and just plugging them in. That way if they burn out I can just unplug and replace.

They are 3500k 5000lumen LEDs from Lowes.

And don't pay attention to the mess in the garage, lol.

Hi Kim,
The pay is slightly less but it has definitely been greener. Better benefits, retirement, etc.

Went through a tough 2017 also, and am very glad you bounced back!!!

You did what was right, and karma got you back where you need to be.

Life can be a struggle. Wife has 2 more years before retirement. I am 70, retired poor! She I real estate agent. WE went 8 months from last Nov electron with out her making one dime!!! Went thru all our savings, but things are getting better.

I have a massive headache brought about by a soon to be ex-wife who is in jail ans suddenly wants to make amends for all the **** over the past year.

And you?
