BEAUTIFUL weather in Orlando today, about 70 degrees and sunny. 15 mph tailwind going down the track. Car was running PERFECT and though I would get a really good time today. However, my nodular Ford 9 inch had other ideas. The track was extremely sticky (lost my shoes after I broke!) but I still managed to blow the tires off. I pedaled it and it shook HARD. So hard they saw it in the tower. I pedaled once more and BANG went the ring & pinion. Richmond gears too.

Some really nice MoPars there today! One and done for me :(

Sorry you broke the rear. What car were you driving? The white Dart is mine.

Which track is this at? I have a friend who races a 1973 Duster small block with a blower. The car is red and he races it at Bradenton. Bobby

A friend of mine broke 2 sets of Richmond gears then went to motive gear and hasn't broke it yet

He has owned the car since the late 70's, my brother and him bought their Dusters almost at the same time. He moved from here to Massachusetts almost 30 years ago and then about 5 years ago he moved to Florida. I don't have pictures of his car buy my brother might, I'll check with him. Bobby

Man. Sorry to hear it busted up. Nice pics.

That’s yours right? Split bumper purple Camaro ? Sweet car ! What does that set up put down ?

Yeah I have had that car since '96. I have no idea what power it makes now since I changed pulleys this was the first pass at the track but it feels strong for a small block. I may take some gear out of it since it is 90% street driven. It HAD 4.11 gears and an FTI 4200 9 inch converter until yesterday lol.

Ah cool. Sucks it broke. But now you can change gears. ;). Cool ride !

I guess I will check them out then. I really don't want to run a Richmond Pro Gear on the street.

My friend was running a 540 ford with a blower, but low boost running gas
maybe 800-900 Hp, knocked 4 teeth off the ring gear, cleaned the pinion gear on the other set. motive gear still going strong.

Mopar man here are pictures of my buddy's Duster that he races and my brother's black Duster. This is all I could find for now. Bobby
