The lower, the better as far as racing goes. Gets the car down out of the air. Mine has been channeled and lowered 2" all over.

I’d like to see that “Channeling” if you could!

The car is sitting on the garage floor right now. I might get it on jackstands this weekend and get underneath it and take some pics. I don't think I have any pics of that on my phone, but I will look and see.....

Can you explain how it was channeled?

Pictures will tell you all you need to know. I am at work and I don't have time to explain it. I will say is that the chassis and underneath the car is not stock.

What are the goals for the car? If you want to run 11s or 10s then go with the classic hot rod look. If you want to run real quick then you will be back hanging the car most likely and it will end up sitting low.

I like the old school rake look. But lower is functionally better. As well as aerodynamics, there’s weight transfer advantages.

Do you drag guys scale your cars to get numbers so you can adjust corner weight, cross weight and such?

He said "drag guys" ...

Didn't mean Ru Paul drag guys...should have said drag racers....

Back in the 60's we'd toss bags of sand, old tires or just about anything in the trunk for weight... that stopped after a few guys lost their loads on the track.

Although I am planning double duty tor this girl, this is almost exactly what I am after.

I will be using 18" wheels in the rear and 16" in the front so that will alter it also.

Mine sits a bit higher in the back due to SS springs and tire clearance issues. I have lowered the front a bit looking for maximum suspension travel. Mid 11 second car.
