Trunk Paint

Who cares what color the inside of the trunk is? The dead bodies you haul around in there certainly won't know the difference. I wish some members here would stop screwing up an honest question with opinions that do nothing than take up space while the rest of us try to help the intent of the original post. I happen to prefer the look (in the trunk) of the gray splatter paint because it has a factory look because it was indeed applied by the factory in some years/models (but not necessarily in our A Bodies).

Personally, I used a durable two-part truck bed product that I am pleased with called "Monstaliner". I used black, but for an extrs cost, you can order tinted. Tinted, you may be sble to make a close match to the body color. So there you have a couple of workable options in addition to either the splatter paint or the more common body color "norm".

If all our cars are going to be exactly the same as factory, this forum might eventually cease to exist for lack of creative talent and exercise of our imaginations. The "custom" ideas I am most pleased with in my own classic cars are replacing the faux wood grain console and dash accents with real wood (Alder) and replacing the cardboard glove box liner with an identical shaped stainless steel liner (custom-made by a commercial kitchen fabricator who specializes in kitchen sinks) I hope I have made a meaningful contribution to this thread and I hope the original poster appreciates my effort.
