Pretty much every "rural" kid back in the day could drive a stick, guy or girl. If she came off a farm or ranch , she could drive any size farm truck, not talking pickup.
If she was a country girl, she probably dated a country boy. If he drove her car, and ground a gear, she would slap him c***less.
