Oh this is the slant section. I still think it works.anyone here know if 68 and up crank shaft will work with 67 rods and block. same size rod journals width and dia?
Thanks . I edited my question to clear things up.Oh this is the slant section. I still think it works.
I'm getting a 67 /6 block freshened up, and I have a good newer (1970) 904 trans . I'm trying to leave my options open. Since I will need crank work done I would like to use a newer crank so I can use the good trans if I choose to. I just couldn't find journal specs for the width of rod for the 67 crank, where I could for the 68 - 76ish of 1.225 and 1.00 on the 80 up. Just wanting to make sure the 67 rods will fit a 68 -76 forged crank.anyone here know if a slant six 68 and up crank shaft will work with 67 rods and block. same size rod journals width and dia?
By the way I did order one of those cams from Oregon Cam. Should have it by next week. There is no difference in 225 connecting rods from '60 through the end of the forged crankshaft partway through the '76 production run. They are the same; go right ahead.
how is it working out for ya?I used a comp RV grind in my build
