okay guys...biggest pet peeve at car shows

Very nice!

Last year, I went to a Cub Scout Pinewood Derby in Camden NJ. Mostly Hispanic and black boys and their families. I took the Barracuda convertible and when the kids came out to look at the muscle car, I let them sit in it. The parents couldn’t believe that anyone would let their kids sit in a car like that (it was far from perfect but they saw it as a super cool car). Some parents even recommended that I decline to allow THEIR kid(s) to sit in the car, but I said “NO”. Any kid that wanted to sit in it was welcome to do so. The kids were in love! They felt trusted like never before. They all were very respectful and careful while they were in the car. They were even patient to get behind the wheel. I was sorry that I wasn’t taking photos, but their parents took a ton of photos. We all should do whatever we can to pass on the love of our old cars. Give encouragement and express some respect and love to these kids. It will be well rewarded to you eventually. It may even help the kids become a better adult. I wish that race and skin color meant nothing in our nation. I love them all and I don’t understand why anyone can not love all kids. God bless them all!
