There are deals out there if you are patient and watch. I just purchased a 340 block standard bore, forged 4 speed crank, X heads, timing cover and intake for $400. Also got a set of 70 340 HP exhaust manifolds for $250. A LD4B intake for $200.
Well, I got better than a steal of a deal. Confirmed it is a 2780930-340 block. He told me to give him $150.00 for it all (block, crank rods and pistons). Best part is the pistons are not the used take out pistons. They are a new set of +.030 pistons that the block has already been piston fit to & the block has a mag tag on it that it has been magnuflux checked & has no cracks. Somehow the rings were lost so I will have to get a set of new rings to use these pistons. I'll mag check the crank & rods next if they weren't done already also.
