Stealth electric fan

I run a Mercedes ML 280 CDI fan in my Satellite, it delivers 600W and draws 50 Amps under full power. These fans are a big improvement to other fans, it has a brushless motor, starts smooth and runs really quiet. It fits directly in the stock fan shroud. I had to cut down the original fan shroud of the Merc and glued it in the stock fan shroud. My friends brother is a electric engineer and built a ECU to create a PWM signal for it. My Satellite runs with the manual ECU version, he built also a new versions ECU with a temp sensor that fits the water pump housing. We made two new versions for my other buddys, one runs in a big block 68' Charger and the other in a big block 68' Barracuda. All three cars runs on 185° Fahrenheit all day long!
My 66' Satellite runs on a 22" three row radiator, hi flow water pump and thermostat. All cars need a new Powermaster 80 amps alternator and bigger wiring. The engine has a 11.4 compression ratio on aluminium heads and 240+ cam. Running in the summerheat rush hour is absolutely trouble free! The fans diameter is 19.17" and the tickness is 3.35". The heads of the screws for the water pump poulie are chopped, and i moved the engine 0.25" back to clear the fan.

This is my manual 3 step ECU, it runs since many years perfect. My friends full electronic ECU's run stepless from 0 to 100 %, keep the engine temperature always on 185°. It's able to run after engine shut off, but protects the battery from low voltage.
