yep, When the left biscuit would break the fan might eat the shroud, a floor shift automatic might change gears, and these were after the throttle pull issues were engineered away.
I do believe the earlier closed cavity K is a bit stronger than the later. So without delving into the 67 only idler arm issue... ad a torque strap to the K you have and run it.
