002/003 "super stock" leaf springs

-
Following Dr Diff's advice, I run two driver's side SS springs with Dr Diff's 1/2 inch inset hanger kit and 1 inch lowering blocks. I also have the correct length Koni shocks and a Firm Feel rear swaybar. The car sits dead level in the rear with just enough lift to bring the rear fender opening to the top of the tire.

They are great! I love the ride, the car handles very well and they are reasonably priced. Got mine from Summit with free shipping to boot.

Another tip: The longer shock that works well,70/71 Chrysler Imperial rear shocks. The basic 50/50 gas (Monroe or Gabriel), have the necessary extension to work correctly.

I'm looking @ a set of these (002 & 003) that are stamped 'MADE IN MEXICO'. Has anyone had issues with these springs? I had a set in the '90's on my Demon. They weren't made in Mexico to my knowledge. Great springs. Looking at these because they're used ( $$ ).

From my understanding they are all made in mexico now. The older ones weren't, but with everything (including assembly plants for Chrysler) they were outsourced to America's heartland, Mexico.

Anymore input on this topic? Im wanting to do something to get a better ride then the air shocks I installed last year. Want a stance that is just a little raked. I had a set or SS springs 30 years ago on my first Scamp dont dont remember witch ones I had. The 2800# or 3000# can we get some pictures posted of Darts and scamps and witch SS springs your running?

I used 002 and 003 Super Stock springs in my Dart Sport and am pleased with them, they aren't as harsh riding as some say that they are. I also used the Mopar Performance shocks as well.............
Before, after, and during shots for your viewing pleasure!

This is the stance that I'm looking for. Same as my old Scamp in the top picture. Bottom one is my new Scamp. I don't want the quarter over top of the tire.

Then, i would look at some XHD springs from ESPO, they will make them to your specs such as 2" higher than stock.
I've heard good things about them their product, customer support, and prices.............

My old car (top picture) has SS springs on it in the picture. Just dont remember witch ones. Plus SS springs cost less then some of the hd springs I've seen.

Running the SS on my Dart. They were a little to high for my taste so I lowered it by drilling another hole in the front hanger. they make an after market front hanger also, that lowers it a little more than you can get out of the stock hanger. What I'm saying is you can play with the height, might need a set of pinion shims when you've got it where you want but you'll have to see.

I like the stance of your Dart. Did you buy the 2800# or 3000# springs ?

I was afraid you were going to ask me that, found them at a swap. I cant recall which ones they were, sorry. I just wanted you to know that you can play with the height a bit.
