Right Stuff disc brake kit

Do you have green bearings in that Dana 60? Because that kit won't work with the factory style tapered bearings and adjuster.

On rear of my 67 440 Dart. Fit well. The pain was the emergency brake cables. Had to make a custom set.

This is a Doctor Diff rear brake kit for a reference.

Dang, got here in 2 days! Guess I will install it this weekend.
How are your Right Stuff brakes working out? I have the same kit on my 8 3/4 and although the braking ability is great I can't seem to eliminate this terrible growling noise I get after driving for a while. Hope you've had better luck.

I have not installed them yet due to working on the other car. I did open the box! LOL.

Bearing noise? Are you using green bearings? Sounds kind of like your clearance is ok when cold, but as stuff gets hot you don’t have enough, like a bearing with too tight of a tolerance.

That's my working theory also. Something is already a little close and then gets tighter as the pads or rotors or something else heats up. I have the Green bearings. New axels and narrowed housing built by Moser. Thanks.

I have Dr Diff axles on my 8 3/4 (green Bearings); will the Dr Diff brakes fit over the axle flange or does it need to be turned down like other brands of brakes? The od is exactly 6 1/8"

I would just ask @DoctorDiff, he’s a member here and always responds quickly through his website as well. But he’s pretty dialed in, I wouldn’t think he’d sell axles and brakes that don’t work together. His rear disk kit is one of the only ones out there that can be used with the original tapered style bearings.
