Thanks Lelo, I have a quench calculation question.
I measured the combustion chamber height from head surface to flat area in combustion chamber. See pic, is that one of the ways to measure? I came up with 0.080".
I have.0.034" of piston above deck at tdc.
I use a 0.038" thick compressed head gasket. I now plug these values into formula. 0.080-(0.038"-0.034")
Which gives me 0.080-0.004" Giving me theoretically 0.076" of quench? Seems like a lot or did I mess it up?

No zero deck is top of piston flush with the deck. Looks like you have a small dome on your pistons for open chamber heads? Don't know a lot about 340s. IMO and I know a few that would hit the red X button, best case scenario is .035 - .050 clearance in quench area and use head gasket thickness to get that.
