I am giving serious thought to the Malibu cruise in my '69. Who is going?

Seriously consider going up here on Thursday, even if its just to watch and hang out for a while.

I'll be there with several others to spectate and maybe do the drags along with the Outlaw DennisH of Moparts infamy and a couple other friends including a couple from Finland we met a few years back at Spring Fling. He has some nice Mopars over there.
 
I'm seriously thinking about doing to track day. Is it scary?

I'm flexing into work late sat AM so I can make the show. My stupid Long Beach Grand Prix is almost ALWAYS the same weekend, and I have to run the show down there when it comes to landline phones....

@Mopar Tim Dude, you should go! I specifically took that day off from work, so I'm planning on being there. Come down, it's a lot of fun!

@MuuMuu101 So no Malibu cruise this year? That's a bummer man. I've done some updates to my Duster that will make those Malibu curves really fun. I just hope that I don't get stuck behind a slow boat again. LOL

@pishta Oh man, I almost forgot about the Long Beach Grand Prix. I usually go on Friday for lunch. I always tell my boss that I'm going to "the warehouse" to do some work on the switches, instead I just head down for lunch using the free passes that you can get from various sources. You're in telecommunications right?

I can't. My schedule is pretty stacked now that I'm finishing off my master's degree. On top of that, I have a dentist appointment that morning.

I need to make the Dart a little more corners friendly too. Right now, the TTI exhaust hits my leaf springs since I've installed the offset shackles (not to mention it drones like mad) and last year I had problems where the tires were rubbing the body panels due to a 200+ lbs driver and a full gas tank.

Ah, I see... bummer! Yeah, I totally understand when life gets in the way, but finishing your Masters is a good reason. The dentist? Not fun, but a necessity sometimes. Well maybe you can take it to Mopars in May in Riverside on the 20th.

Sundays are generally hard for me too and that will be two weeks before my finals so I will be very busy. I'll keep it in mind. Let me know of other Mopar events nearby.

Yes, I'm with Frontier/Verizon telecom and am looking forward the the 32+ Trans Am era cars that will be racing that weekend! That one starts at noon~1 I believe on Saturday, plenty of time to get from Van Nuys back to LB. My office is in the arena and I hear the cars from 7AM to 8PM Friday through Sunday.

For the out of towners thant don't know the area...
Personally I'd look to stay in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks or Santa Clarita, nice areas and only a 20-30 minute drive to show.

I want to stay where there is good security, Preferably with others from the Fling, don't want to be the only Classic car in the lot! A big target, IMO.

The cities I listed are some of the safest cities in the Country with the lowest crime rates. I'd have no problem parking my car outside in the those towns.

I've taken my Barracuda on vacations and never had problems,I stopped worrying about that two days after I finished the car.
