Hi,
Im trying to put the car back together after a complete disassembly. I started to try and put the steering column in but i cant find or figure out how the front of the steering column bracket mounts. I think i am missing a bracket or something. I took lots of pictures and packaged everything well, but i cant find this piece. I have a factory manual but the piece is not pictured. Anybody got a picture of one thats put together or a pic of what the bracket looks like.

To me it looks like you have the wrong bracket, the bare metal one. That fork in the lower center, bolts with a plastic slider, directly to the bracket. I bet you have a different year part there. 1969 was the first year for the collapsible column. That lower mount is part of that function. (I might be wrong about being first year)

Those parts were all on there before.
I just painted the silver metal piece.
I did switch columns. I switched from automatic on the column to console shift manual column. But i dont think that should matter.

Well, I just looked at my 69 and there is a difference between yours and mine. Will try to get picture later, too dark now.

I definitely remember the bracket on my 69 Cuda looking just like that. I'll get a picture tomorrow for you.

Can i buy that one?
What is it called?
Thanks
Chris

Sorry, bracket is not for sale. It's my only one. I'm not sure what it is actually called. I looked at the service manual (67) and I didn't find any direct reference. Hopefully you can locate yours.
