The long bolt is for '60-'62 170 engines, plus '60-'61 225 engines in big cars (Plymouth/Dodge, not Valiant/Lancer). All these use one of three different air cleaners with a flat floor. The '63-'67 air cleaners have a dropped floor (bottom of air filter element at a lower plane than carb neck) and so they use the shorter bolt.
