Need 1973 license plate

I just registered my75 as Antique in Pa. For now I am runnng their 'historic vehicle'. plate. I think they said it's another $75 to register your own plate, but it's a one time charge/lifetime reg. I did find I can run my dads 'Bicentenial' plate. that was correct from 71 to 76.

I found a site for Pa that breaks it down by year showing when the number/letter series were issued. but. I think it just needs to be the correct style. The Bicentenial plate I have is a 71 issue, but still has the 75 and 76 stickers showing that Dad ran it the whole time.
 
Those are pretty easy to find. I've seen the "correct" year sticker for the corner on eBay. For example:

I've seen the plates in garage sales and antique dealers, although some folks seem to think they are made of gold. eBay will usually get you a decent deal if you are patient.

You'll want to find the correct letter designation for your county if you really want to be "correct".

And carry a copy of the DMV code that allows you to use the old plates. Some local cops (like the ones near me) aren't up on the rules and will hassle you.
 
You do not need the 73 sticker for New York plate. I have a 73 Scamp and have the plate with no sticker. Albany told me it was the transition year for the new plates to come out so I didn't need one. The plates have to have a sticker if it's the years 66 to 72.

Don't know if PA requires any sticker on vintage. They stopped using stickers for current registration as of the beginning of this year...

Mine has the '69 sticker but I never thought that they wouldn't accept it without one. I was the one wanting the sticker to go with my car. They did require a picture of the plate

I would like to do the same ..I think it will look good like it did in 73...now have to find one with correct county code and numbers for 73..wish me luck..find codes for sullfolk county NY a correct numbers for 73 yr made,, at least I know what I'm looking for right!!
