This doesn't make sense to me. Dead Service members are not in anyway politics.
Besides, prediciting that a conversation going one way or the other is like saying someone driving a Challenger is going to break the speed limit because it's a muscle car...
Sure it can. Someone may easily respond that the reason the service member was killed was because of a needless war or some such stuff. Not a stretch at all. Also - what may not look like political to you, may to others, and that can make them think its ok to go a little further. Then when their post is deleted, they point to the original service member post and say "how come this is ok but mine is not?" --- Its a tough position for us...

Besides all that - why is it such a big deal to post it in the political forum?

That's a slippery slope and really no reason for it. When it goes there, then act.

Again - why not avoid the whole thing and if its political or near political, just post in the politics forum.
