66 Dart GT HT Whatsitgonnabe?

I'm a little confused by how the kick-down is supposed to work. I thought I had it figured out but now I think the cable pulls in the wrong direction if it's mounted the way I have it now. It's the one furthest to the right in the pic.

I want it to pull the lever on the trans toward the front of the car when I floor it, is that correct?
Opposite.
Throttle movement off idle should start to move the 'kickdown' lever to increase the internal pressure with increasing throttle.
When the throttle is fully open - the lever on the transmission should be close to fully back. (While you're at it, malke sure thethrottle pedal actually causes the primary throttle to fully open.)

This pamphlet goes over the stock linkage adjustments in some detail.
