I struggle to cut the floor out of mine for a 5 or 6 speed, and you've gone exponentially beyond that. Truthfully, it's one of the things I don't like about my car, wish it was a /6 or 318 car so I wouldn't struggle so much to modify it.

Yes there was A lot of hesitation. But one thing that was drummed into my head years ago was "don't think about It! Just do it!". From there, the first cut is the one that hurts. And then make your cuts like a surgeon. It's steel it can always be welded back together.
