Hello from BluePrint Engines!

Where do you get your cores from?
Is there a core charge, or is that already figured into the purchase price? I'm thinking that it must be.
Do you buy cores from customers and if so, how much do you pay for them?
If a core is supplied to you, would you build that for the customer or would that not be possible?
I'm thinking of the matching numbers guys and the not too easy to find cores.
Are there specific cores that are pretty hard to find and do you have to delay an order until a suitable one is found?
(Including non Mopar ones)
Which engine overall is your best seller? (Mopar and otherwise)
Hey Dartnut,

We only buy cores from large suppliers in quantities.
Our engines are sold free and clear with no core charges.
Our goal is to offer reliable and reasonably priced engines by using a specific build list, with standardized parts. This helps us keep cost down to you. This again allows us to buy things in bulk, and save $ on our end, and yours.

We do not accept customer cores for a few reasons. One is the standardization process above. If we have to stop production because a "unique" core needs special attention, or non-stocked parts (think oversized bearings) It would hurt our productivity and ultimately be a loss on our end since we weren't pumping out our usual quantities. Standardization is the key to keeping the line moving, and keeping cost down. We just build our combinations. If you want something more custom, i reccomend starting with one of our shortblocks, as many others have.

We do make our own SBC and BBC blocks for some of our mid to upper end offerings.
I would like to get there with Mopar and Ford, but we need to do alot more volume there (thats where you guys come in) :)

our most popular engine is probably this one. A 383 SBC with roller cam, and aluminum heads. Sell the as fast as we can build them.
