I am looking to either rebuild my cap or replace it. Anyone have a source for a seal kit to rebuild my cap or a replacement cap.
Thanks in advance

That's a great question but I don't think there is a solution. Might have to get creative. You could cut the old seal out and glue a new seal in it's place. Looks like you'll be buying a whole new cap otherwise.

Most do have cracks. I was just looking at some caps I have and I do not see any way to take them apart with out breaking them. As high as they are from the tank there is not a lot of chance of them leaking anyway. I think if your concerned about it that gluing on a new seal is about your only hope. Or buy a whole new assembly.

Does anyone offer a new assembly? Who?

When I fill the tank (not over filled) gas does seep out and runs back toward the rear bumper to the point where it has screwed up some very expensive paint on the rear quarter panel.

I bought a new one a few years ago. And it broke the first time I fueled up.. The spring is too short for lock part and pulls out... so we drilled and removed pin on new one. Put new lid on old bottom problem solved...

Maybe it's leaking at the gas tank filler neck seal?
I have not taken it apart yet. So you are saying that there is a seal behind the quick fill fuel cap base that seals to neck. Correct? You may have hit the nail on the head.

I was referring to where the filler tube goes into the gas tank. The cap has it's own seal right like we were talking about the old ones being cracked. If you cut the old cracked one out and glued a new rubber seal (of your choice) in it's place. There is a gasket behind the gas cap assembly but is not to seal fuel it's just a body gasket.

Im trying to figure out your problem.
Never have had a problem with my 67 leaking gas out of cap maybe on a full tank doing a left turn constant cookie burnout for a long time.......
Are all the vent lines clear to below the trunk pan? Stock mechanical fuel pump? Something not right.
