There are so many different brands of the stuff. The additive that "MotorMedic", "Gunk", and others sell as "Lead Substitute" supposedly contains ingredients to protect the valve seats, but I have never seen a definitive test that says the stuff actually works. It is not an octane booster. Anyways, how many of us still have non-hardened valve seats in our engines?
