Valve spring recommendations
Hi Guys,
I have been researching valve springs for my 5.7 Hemi and quite frankly it is doing my head in. The background is that I am running a 112-500-11 comp cam. When built we used the behive springs recommended to go with this = comp cam 26918-16. Unfortunately one of the springs broke and you can see what the result was as per the attached photos. My plan is to use another make of spring as I have no confidence in what I have already used. So does anyone have recommendations for springs? The heads are factory standard and not any sort of aftermarket. Appreciate any recommendations you may have. Yep and if you are wondering about the valve cover picture with the crack that is the oil filler cap. I converted the motor to a distributor carb set up.
