new driveshaft with 1350 yoke- best lubricant?

By slip joint, do you mean the end that slides onto the splines in the tail shaft of the transmission? I wasn't even worried about that end as it's inside the seal and gets bathed in ATF (for automatics, obviously), doesn't it?? With that idea rattling around in my non-mechanically inclined brain, I just coated the whole thing with transmission fluid inside and out and slid it right in. Should I reevaluate that procedure?

I thought you meant you had a slip joint in the driveline itself. (but you did say yoke) sorry.
A slip (yoke) into the trans is fluid lubricated, so you are good.
