68 twin turbo dart project.
Here is a general photo of the car. I really don't have any pictures of the entire car. Next time I roll it out I will take some pictures. It may not see the light of day till its painted though.
Here is the plan. I plan to take it to Dragweek 2018 and race it. I have my spot all paid for and the hotels reserved. I have made a long list of items to be mocked up before I disassemble it and paint it. For paint I will be painting it myself in the garage where it is now. The car is roughed into shape already and it just needs a final blocking and I should be ready to go. The motor will be a stock 340 short block straight from the junkyard. I will top it off with W5 heads and install a solid roller cam. My plan is to make 1250 flywheel horsepower. The internet says that I can't do that. I'll let you in on a secret. I have already done that, for 100 passes, and it didn't break. Maybe Maddart can chime in lol. I am going to run a 727 built by Protrans. The rear is a Ford 9" with 3.73 gear and 40 spline axles gun drilled, lightweight spool, and aftermarket aluminum case all from Mark Williams. I don't know maybe I am crazy, maybe I am not, but we will find out.
