Been trying to get my son to island dragway for jr street hes 15 weather hasent cooperated thus far ... and a shitty seller on this screwing us over on a part jammed us up but hopefully another week of two he will get his first runs in. Must be great feeling congrats
 
Was that heads up? If so it looks like he put a hole shot on him by about 8 car links.
 
WAY cool. I always hoped one of my kids would show some interest, but the only interest is, "Dad, can you fix my car?"
Did you have a tear in your eye? I would have.
 
I remember watching my sons first pass in the 1/4 in a car he fixed up and repaired. Its definitely a proud moment! Congrats to you and your son.

I was in the water box behind him and saw it, and my wife shot the video. Funny, when he was on the return road i was crossing the line and gave him a thumbs up. He looked like a 6 year old at Christmas when he said "Dad! 13.79!" I think there was about 3" of air between the ground and his feet. Mine too :)
 
What track did u guys go to ? I can’t wait to watch my son on the track, we have an 1/8 mile marked out on a service road out near us in a very secluded part of Long Island and hes got an app on his phone that records passes ., idk how accurately but he ready for actuall track

Cordova. His friends had a blast too with their cars. I let a 17 year old girl that was with them make a pass in my Durango with me in it, helping her at the stage lights. This young crowd was very enthused. Gotta keep this hobby alive
