An interesting side note about the ratchet. I have 2 sets of these type ratchets & sockets given to me by my dad when he worked for a wholesale supply company. One set says "Property of the U. S. Navy & the other is marked like the one above. My dad researched them with the wholesaler & was told that they were used on submarines during WW II.

He was a WWII veteran (Army, not Navy)
And / Or
He worked for Westinghouse Bettis (Nuclear propulsion for the Navy)
 
No, he works for Wholesale Supply in Houston, TX. They sold off all kinds of surplus materials from multiple suppliers.
