thanks , I bougth tubing last week so ill be starting a cage soon .

Awesome, and good luck, he routed the knee knocker one up higher behind the dash, plenty of knee room.

Few things showed up this week, after I check my oil clearance the rotating assembly is off to get a race balance job done. Also sent out my oil pump to get the gear coated to help increase oil pressure to keep feed all the vital things and the turbos. The one down side to a fresh block need all the little things lol

Well did some work today on the block, got the main bearings in, had to message the groove where the bearing lock into a bit on three of the mains, also since using the clevite 77 had to open the oil holes just a bit to match the oiling holes on the bearings. Clearance meassured out on the plastic gauge in the .002 mark, was going to to check the rods but ordered the wrong size by accident, shipping those back to summit and getting the speed pro competition rod bearings in the size I need. The rods on the kit use chevy ends and I ordered the narrow bearings not the regular ones oh well. Tomorrow will drop off the rotating assembly to get balanced and wash and clean the block and paint it. Getting closer.

Well didn't get the block painted today an unexpected dental procedure happened this morning and couldn't do much afterward. But my dad and brother took the rotating assembly to the machine shop close by for the balance to be done. On well will get this week and post up pictures.

Well got my rotating assembly back today, heres the balance sheet. Hopefully get to clean and atleast put the crank in and ready for when the correct bearing for the rods in.

Finally got around to washing the block and getting it painted. It's gloss black will install the brass plugs unpainted. This is the how my dad always did his blocks so I just carry it on. Once I get the i take back, it and the front cover will get powder coated silver to match the dash insert, the cold side turbo housing will get done in purple. Once I can get a lip welded to the intercooler piping those will also get done on silver. If anyone can tig weld please let me know and if you can do a bead on the pipes so the clamps have something to bit into. Will pay for the work.

Also got the pistons and rods assemble, also got a few things in, flex plate and torque converter bolts in also the harmonic balancer bolt, all ARP of course. Will gap the rings this weekend, and hopefully I have the rod bearings by then.

Well today ran the thread chasers down the head stud holes just to make sure they are clean, installed the studs. Finally aftet 6 months of waiting for this guy to make an adaptor for to the ball bearing to the stock housing got that all done and steering column installed, have to shorten it a bit more, upgraded to a u joint type connector. Installed the steering wheel finally too.

Just got word from Michael from B3racing that the heads and intake are just about done, a final clean up and packaging and they will be on there way soon to me.

Well heads and intake will be here Tuesday, bearing will be in monday. Worked on the engine today, got the oil pump taken apart and clean aftet the gears got coated, opened the opening from pump to rear main cap a bit, clearances the one stud to fit the oil pump, fill fitted the rings and installed on all but 1 piston, also had to cut the plate for the oil filter down a bit, ritter blocks are smaller by an inch over stock. Also had to improvise, think I need to get a vise lol

Thanks, yeah it's coming along, it will be a blast to finally drive it both all over the streets and at the track.

Look what showed up today. Big thanks and appreciation to Michael at B3racing engines for the porting, valve train upgrade, springs locks and keepers, inconel exhaust valves. Just need to check the rod bearings for clearance, can assemble the short block, paint the heads, keeping it aluminum color just protect the raw aluminum, need to grind the intake a bit to clear the priority main feed fitting. Flow numbers are in another post prior to this post.

Worked on the car a bit, my friend came over and we finished the steering column and now we are connected to the steering. Tomorrow will get the pistons installed, mock the heads up and check where I need to trim the intake valley cover for the oil feed fitting

Got the pistons installed, mounted the heads to check where I need to grind for the priority main feed, but turns out I need a double thickness intake gasket, due to the 9.6 deck I'm guessing. Have an emial out to superformance gaskets to see if they can make one. Painted the heads, kept the aluminum color to them just don't want the raw aluminum which absorbs everything, and painted the front cover. Also side note, needed to get the mopar hv spring kit since having my oil pump gears coated, and just squeezing the two springs the mopar one did feel stiffer over the hv one that comes from melling.

Well found another nerve racking thing to do, had to notch the intake for the priority oiling, also since its a 9.6 deck had to get some double gaskets from superformance, Greg is an awsome guy to deal with, he even bonded them together with some high strength adhesive, and these are new type material, it's not on his website yet, but call and ask for them. Going to order the head gaskets here soon and need to get some gasket material to make my own front China wall gasket

Worked in the garage today, worked in the solid mounts, just need to get the grade 8 bolts to weld to the new ones, luckily can use the solid on the left from moroso, but need to fab a new one for the right since Mad Dart spaced the factory rubber ones up 1/4" had to do some math, but the extra thickness shims will be welded to the mounts. Hopefully should be getting the cam soon and can order the correct lifters then get the 7/16 push rods ordered. I know I have lug nuts on the one mount, just holding things together will get better nuts and lock washers for it. Fixed the gap on the intake had to much off the one side, just need to sand the area then repaint and clear.
