Went to see a 68 Barracuda notchback black on black

Yep 3G for as complete as it is thats a decent deal these days. Its mostly complete, and doesnt look banged up badly. The expensive stuff like the grilles and taillights as well as trim look decent. That stuff is pricey if it needs to be replaced. Complete pair repop taillight assemblies can easily run $700 or more.

2 notchback only items will be the rear glass , and a rear seat. The rear seat will not interchange from a dart. Those rear seats are barracuda notchback specific. You might be able to find those items over there.

However if you network with a bunch other old American car enthusiasts needing parts you may be able to do a shipping container deal. I sold a rust free fender for a 74 dart to a guy whos son lives in iceland. He said typically the mopar crowd up there will have a shipping container loaded up with a car and a bunch o parts.

It looks like the stainless rear window trim is missing off the back window. One piece looks like its laying in the rear window opening. The 68-69 notchback rear window trim is some of the hard to find and expensive pieces to this car. Hopefully the rest of those pieces are in the trunk of the car. I have a half set for my second project 69 notchback. They were missing. I still need the 2 upper pieces. I have a full set for my 67 so i can use the available repopped 68-69 rear window gasket

Lower fender and quarter patch panels can be fabricated from sheet steel if the damage is minor, but lower rear quarter skin patch panels, and front fender lower patch panels exist if its bad enough that they are needed.

I bought my new 67 barracuda replacement door inner panels from summit racing. I am sure they would ship overseas. Not sure what shipping and taxes would cost you though.

68 style side stripe was a formula S item, however i think it may have been optional on the base model car as well. Additionally, the trim around the roof below the back window is vinyl top trim. The car may have originally came with a vinyl top, that was removed and painted after the vinyl dried out. The fender tsg will tell you if it had one or not. Having that top removed likely saved that car from a rustier fate as those damn vinyl tops will ruin a car when watet gets underneath them. This leads me to believe the car may have at least 1 repaint. If not the whole car, at least the top was repainted where the vinyl was since they only primer the metal under a vinyl top at the factory. That vinyl top trim is not there if the car comes with a factory painted top. If you like the vinyl top look i have seen people use a textured paint in a steel top and put the trim back on. Looks good, easier to maintai , and protects from rust better.

My 67 was a slant 6 with 3 speed column shift. I converted to V8 4 speed. The shifter on the column was broken. Its the reason the car was parked. Not sure if the owner has all the pieces to the column shift. What i found wrong with my column shift when i took it apart was there is a rectangle tab thats only brazed to the inner torque tube in the column that allows you to move the shifter lever up and down rotating the torque tube with the linkage on it. with . That rectangle broke off the tube wont rotate. I welded the tab back on just to be able to pin the shifter collar in place for the floor shift conversion, then i cut off the nub that sticks up for the shifter arm, ground it concave, filled it with a metalized epoxy, sanded it smooth and painted it. Whacked off the shifter linkage tabs at the lower end. Viola, floor shifter column.

I hope this helps you out
